Dry Eye

Strange as it may seem, excessive watering of the eyes is actually a symptom of the condition known as dry eye. Normally, the eyes constantly produce tears to stay moist. When your eyes do not produce enough tears – or the right type of tears – the condition is called dry eye. A variety of factors can cause dry eye. Perhaps your body doesn’t make enough tears, they dry up too fast, or they don’t have the right balance of water, oils, and mucus. Many things can cause those issues, from windy days to medical conditions. Whatever the cause, your eyes react by making more tears.

Other symptoms of dry eye include:
