Genstler Eye Center Places First Toric ICL in Local Area

Topeka, Lawrence and Manhattan, Kan. (May 17, 2019) – Arla Genstler, MD of Genstler Eye Center recently placed a bilateral toric Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) in a patient. This was the first time this procedure has been done in the local region. “I am pleased to provide this technology to our area’s patients,” said Arla Genstler, MD. “This is a great option for individuals with high amounts of myopia with astigmatism who are not necessarily good candidates for LASIK surgery.”

Lawrence, Kan. (April 6, 2017) – Genstler Eye Center recently opened to its newest location at 4505 W Sixth Street, Suite C in Lawrence, Kansas. Dr. Stephen Hinton will be the primary staff physician in the Lawrence office.

Topeka, Lawrence and Manhattan, Kan. (April 4, 2019) – The LenSx femtosecond laser brings an elevated level of safety and accuracy to cataract surgery. Genstler Eye Center has invested in this cataract laser technology to expand the options available for its patients. This is the preferred treatment choice for cataract patients with low levels of astigmatism.
